Whimsical Fairy Houseby *Aliehs

Keeping with my Mini's, here is my Whimsical Fairy House. My cousins' boyfriend gave me the awesome idea to turn these mini ones into wind chimes and I thought I would try it out with this one first. Of course, for now, its still just a little birdhouse.

Here is the run down:
All the designs were burned on.

On the roof I did tiny little circles all over it to give it texture, and then did a light wash of burnt umber over it to give it a richer color. (the natural color of the birdhouse is closes to the pebbles on the front)

The front is supposed to be made up of rocks/pebbles, so I burned really hot and very deep to kinda get the grooves between them, then I went back over them and shaded them.

On the sides I did random, semi squiggly lines to give the appearance of bark, and then did a light wash of burnt umber to tie it with the roof and give it that richer, bark looking color.

The back is supposed to be a little Fairy window, which I drew on, then wood burned, and decided after blacking out the negative "window" space, to relief carve it to give it more depth. These pictures really do not do it justice. I then painted it black to contrast with the surroundings. I used watercolor pencils to color the flowers and leaves.

Then around the bottom I glued some moss for some added color.

I sold this one already! Gotta make another one XD I swear...I am never going to have anything to show off at the shows, people keep buying them up as soon as I finish them!
