This is Kamiya Kaoru from Rurouni Kenshin

Rurouni Kenshin characters are just so pretty, and after doing a few burnings of Kenshin I thought it would be nice to do one of jsut Kaoru. The song lyrics are from the song Ice Blue Eyes that is featured on one of the Kenshin soundtracks and I felt that it fit this picture particularly well. I had to cut out Kenshin to make this just Kaoru hehe.

And since blue seemed to be the theme here I thought it appropriate to just add the hints of blue to her eyes and ribbon. I was pretty nervous at first because its going against my rule for cool colors...and when I was attempting it they just did not seem to be blending well but I pulled some tricks out of my seemingly endless art hat and it worked out. My only peeve is the slight bleeding from the finishing spray but thats it. I am in love with this...
